Psalms 119:105
“Your word is a lamp to my feet and light to my path.”
The psalmist in this verse asks, "Do we trust God?" If we do, then we will know that our Creator has given us the perfect guidebook in His Word. If we do not, then He lets us know that we will walk in darkness and we would be depriving ourselves of the greatest gift ever offered. It is a matter of choice! In Matthew 7: 7-8, He tells us; “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.” Let's meditate on His Word and allow God to provide us the quiet time we need and the light which will guide us through this dark world. As a reward, we will rejoice in His promises. This is a reward we can have in this world because we are obedient to His Word. Vance Havner stated, “It takes calm, thoughtful, prayerful meditation on the Word to extract its deepest nourishment.” Find some time to meditate on God’s word and He will brighten your path and your day.
